There's no arguing that Barbies have improved when it comes to inclusivity, as we're no longer only seeing the same straight-sized, blonde, white dolls that were first introduced in the late 1950s. Now, we have Barbies that are representative of different shapes, sizes, and skin tones, which is certainly a step in the right direction. However, Mattel just released its latest rendition of the iconic toy and a lot of people are not happy with it. The reason? The black doll's hairstyle.
Posted to Barbie's style Instagram, the doll in question is shown wearing a half head of black cornrows and a blonde curly weave next to two white dolls wearing their hair in ponytails. "Movie night with my girls to watch the @Hulu premiere of the new @Barbie documentary," reads the caption.
People were very quick to comment on the photo with their feelings, most of which expressed deep frustration over the doll's hair. "Who's [sic] bright idea was it to style the AA Barbie's hair like that. All of these beautiful brown women in all industries, you couldn't find ONE to look to for hair inspiration? You need to remove her and start from scratch IMMEDIATELY!!" wrote one user. "Maybe some have worn this style but it doesn't represent the majority," and "the Black Barbie hairstyle is horrid," are just a few of countless comments that derided the look.

Social Justice Warriors are never happy. And that’s just fine by me.
Will the black Ken doll have three legs?
?????????
That's funny right there.
Ive seen much worse than that around town. You never know what hairstyle black gals are gonna come up with. I saw one crossing the street the other day with neon yellow hair.
[[”Maybe some have worn this style but it doesn’t represent the majority,” ]]
So tell us- who dictated that dolls must ‘represent the majority’? One size NEVER fits all-
Ask any doll collector and they’ll tell you that there’s only a minuscule quantity of black dolls that have any value in the collectable market. Even black collectors avoid most of them. New black dolls are hard to sell.
If white Barbie already has everything why wouldn’t she have black Ken too?
Is it still true that stores selling white and black Barbie Dolls have to price the black ones lower?
Cause they don’t sell.
That statement is somewhat incorrect. When dolls are marked down, discount racked, or put on closeout a large percentage are usually black dolls. That’s just the way it is.
so, no SJWs complained about culture appropriation ?
How long will it be before we have a Tranny Barbie or a Tranny Ken? How long will it be before we have a LAW requiring them to create a Tranny Barbie or Tranny Ken?
Well, to be fair, Barbie and Ken have always been ahead of the LBGTWXYZ crowd. In that that are asexual.
Take off their clothes and see they have no genitals. Man, how cool is that!
OJ and Tiger Woods teach us that Black Ken wants White Barbie.
Aw, worrying about a dolly when actual children are being sold into prostitution, beaten and killed in Africa, Asia and all over the rest of the world.
What have these morons done to make the world better than some virtue signaling that costs NOTHING to them.
Meanwhile millions of black girls in Africa cannot get clean drinking water. But let’s worry about doll hairstyles.
