The first evening of a three day auction of billionaire oil dynasty scion David Rockefellers world class private art collection has raised over $646m, an amount that already exceeds the valuation of the entire 1,600 item list.
Among the works of art for sale at Christies in Manhattan on Tuesday evening were a Rose period portrait by Pablo Picasso that sold for $115m (including fees) and a painting by Monet from his water garden series that sold for a record $80.7m.

Oh what a lucky man he was.
50-50 it’s a fake.
Assets seized. Must sell art.
I was thinking that, too.
That was only $114,999,990. more than my bid for it.
It was Picasso’s impression of a painter.
Some people have more money than they know what to do with it. I’m sure that my art teacher would have given me a “C” if I turned that in. And, I’m sure that I would have had to certify that the model was 18 years or older.

Not exactly Playboy bunny quality....just sayin.
Picasso took beautiful women and made them hideous.
When story appeared I tried to se if model was identified. Was this a real person , I could not find this as an issue. It was called tender and haunting.
Only story I found discussing the young lady, a victim IMO

Deep State: Follow the Rothschild, Soros, and Rockefeller Money
With almost unlimited capital, Wall Street moneymen use it to centralize government. Their plans smack of worldwide crony capitalism, with government rules made to order.
It may sound cliché, but there is a great deal of wisdom in the old saying about catching criminals: Follow the money. That advice applies as much to catching small-time petty thieves as it does to big-time global crime syndicates. And it is especially relevant when trying to understand the bureaucratic and intelligence community components of the Deep State, and more importantly, the Deep State behind the Deep State. This shadowy network, which is barely concealed at this point, includes secret societies such as Skull and Bones and the Bohemian Grove, as well as less-secretive organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberg meetings. Money is key.”
I see Picasso-grade art taped on the walls of elementary schools quite frequently.
