Sure. This isn't a religious caucus, even though some act like it. "Q" isn't the faith of anyone's father, and therefore the Free Republic religious caucus rules are not properly applied to it. More skepticism would be a good thing for many here, so, to some extent sure, I'm trying to get more people to be skeptical.
Cult leaders hate skepticism, the want true-believers, and kick people asking questions out of the cult.
I have written previously, on these threads, about my background helping bring people out of cults. It's something I did reluctantly, because I was asked, by family members. On two occasions, the first sort of leading into the second.
I learned a lot about indoctrination and group think in the process.
Would it surprise you to hear that for every helpful private message like yours asking me to stop pointing out problems with Q's claims, I get at least one from some other Freeper thanking me for being a dissenting voice.
Maybe some of you trying so hard to silence and denigrate people who only have divergent views should re-think your attitude. Real inquiry into mirky subjects would welcome skepticism, especially when presented respectfully.
I'm not the one name-calling with ugly and inaccurate pejoratives. (Nor are you, so thanks for that, at least.)
I'm inclined to stay here. It reminds me a lot of a primary campaign thread. The Cruz supporters also tried to enforce Orthodoxy on Free Republic. Ultimately they failed. They were left with only Glenn Beck and assorted Never Trumpers echoing their claims.
maybe a bit more openess to alternate viewpoints could have served then better.
I believe a few left Free Republic, so uncomfortable was their denouement.
I hope that doesn't happen to too many Q disciples, though the false oracles, pretending to be know far more than they do, will not be missed.
