Bring back Leave it to Beaver. Jerry Mathers can play grandpa Beaver with diabetes old, and going deaf, struggling with some dementia episodes.

Then the rest of the show would be about how his family turned out.
Maybe he’ s got 10 great grand children, half from out of wedlock births etc. and all Beavers immediate offspring are struggling to support them.
That’s life in America today.

Oh, that’s cold.

The only show I watched and DVRd for later viewing...the viewing public lost a very clever and entertaining show.

DAMN!

If you want to be happy that a show that wallows in self-gratification and lack of faith was canceled look no further than “the Mick,” but “Lucifer” was actually a good show that promoted the idea of redemption and the people who watched it knew that.

Meanwhile, look what's been greenlit by another net. Check out the plot for Red Line ...

CBS orders 'Red Line' series set here and created by two Chicagoans

Good show and interesting premise. The writing went off the rails for a while and I think that did it in. The pubbies could use a few like Maz.

Yep. It started out good, but lost the thread the comics followed. They made it more a crime drama with a whiny Metro-sexual as the lead, instead of conflicting motivations of Evil trying to do Good.

When Jehovah spoke "Let there be Light"... It was the Light-bringer, Son of the Morning, הֵילֵל, that brought it to Him. It wasn't until his fall that Lucifer became the Adversary.

On the plus side, Fox picked up season 7 of Tim Allen’s “Last Man Standing!”

I can’t wait to see what he has to say about President Trump!

Only one thing... Fox had better not “Firefly” this show!!!!

Mark

I hate bad guys, so I never watched Lucifer. I wanted to be sure I was not being manipulated into cheering for Satan. I can’t stomach that.

Now that is cancelled, I want to watch it. All my favorite shows get quickly cancelled. I realize the opposite may not be true -—> “If a show gets quickly cancelled, therefore it must be one of my favorites”, but it is so commonly true, I guess I should watch the first couple of shows and judge for myself.

Guess I will have to add it to the Netflix list — but if it makes me cheer for Satan, it may not last long!

No, you are not alone. I hate bad guys being good on TV and the movies. I hate gangster movies when they win. I hate seeing criminals win and profit from their heists and what and such.

Americans today by and large are fine with bad guys profiting from being bad guys. It is a massive shift in our culture that occurred in the early 1970s.

Up until the late 1960s, American audiences would EVER tolerate criminals and bad guys profiting from their crimes and misdeeds. This is why in the first Italian job movie (SPOILER COMING SO DON’T READ ON IF YOU DON’T WANT IT SPOILED)...

In the first Italian Job movie, it looks like their plundered gold is all going to plunge down a mountainside and be forever lost. While in the 2nd Italian job movie, the original thieves prevail and keep their illegal plunder.

Just like in the original Oceans 11, their money burns up in the incinerator and the tiny amount someone put in their pocket, were used charitably for the family of the one guy who wasn’t involved in the heist because he had a heart attack. That is an important piece of the movie for the original audiences — had the dead guy been in on the heist first, it would have made his family accessories and therefore unworthy of charity. But because the guy never actually engaged in any crime, it left those audiences free to feel sympathy for the son of the dead guy so he could afford to go to college or military school or whatever.

Today, audiences are much more accepting of criminals profiting from their crimes.

I try to tell younger people how America is far less moral today than previously, and this is one of my examples. It goes right over their heads. They can’t even understand the underlying point that we used to loathe criminals who “won”. Today, they are so used to the bad guys winning, they can’t see it.

So yeah, to me the Devil has to lose every time. He never won in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer show. He was always stymied some how.

It’s based off a comic. Literally every comic ever is being adapted for TV or movies because Hollywood is out of ideas.

For the record this version of the devil is basically an avenging angel, the warden of God’s prison (till he quit and moved to LA) and not “evil”.

I stop watching it after the season premiere this year, I intended to catch up......

Seemed like it was getting weird with the Moonlighting thing between the leads.
