Steven Seagal Movies...
Vanity

Posted on 05/16/2018 7:45:38 PM PDT by ExpatCanuck

Had some time to kill before going to bed. Watched a Steven Seagal movie on Netflix. I can’t even remember the name. Say what you want about his acting skills (love the graphic of him showing different emotions - and it’s all the same picture, and he plays the same character in every movie) but he’s a financial genius. He puts out one really bad movie a year that goes straight to DVD and/or Netflix and makes him 10 million bucks, then he sits on the porch of his mansion with his beautiful wife thinking about the next movie. You have to respect that.

As a Brooklyn-born American, the best scene in Out for Justice is when he goes in to the market to buy puppy food for the dog he just adopted.

Head forward while running...

That’s how track sprinters and baseball players run when trying to break the tape or reach a base.

In the hilarious Netflix series Travels With My Father there’s a scene when the father and son run into him at their hotel, and the son, being a fan of his, waits to meet him, only to get thrown into the water fountain.

It’s a very clever show.

>Otherwise, thanks guys for the hilarious thread, especially about his short legs.

Even worse than that, he showed up to his daughter’s movie debut (some Gamera movie) unannounced after 15 years of not seeing her and lovingly told her, “If I was your age, I’d totally be attracted to you” or some such nonsense.

"...then he sits on the porch of his mansion with his beautiful wife thinking about the next movie. You have to respect that...."

No I don't.

He is a horrible person.

For fun he used to assault people on the sets of his movies. He used to take great joy in randomly kicking stuntmen in the nuts, just because he could.

He portrays himself as a tough guy, but once at a Hollywood party, while running his arrogant mouth, he talked too much shit to Jean Clause Van Damme, who finally said "Let's fight".

Seagal fled the scene and hid in his house. Van Damme and a few others followed. Van Damme invited him to come out of his house and back up his words.

Seagal refused to come out.

I do not approve of anyone who hurts others for fun.

+1 I Agree, especially the first. Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Busey were excellent bad guys.

Sure you don’t mean Rutger Hauer in Blind Fury? (They look somewhat similar.)

If Dolf could handle the accent, he would have been a great Reacher, but then again, Reacher said nothing.

I have no idea why that ‘80s B-movie popped into my head when I read your comment (I’m absolutely no expert on the genre), but there you go...
