Charlize Theron has been set to play Megyn Kelly in Annapurna Pictures’ untitled movie that will focus on the women of Fox News Channel who worked there during the tenure of Roger Ailes, the chairman and network architect who resigned in 2016 amid a sexual and workplace harassment scandal. Jay Roach is directing the pic written by The Big Short scribe Charles Randolph in a project that has been in the works since before Ailes’ death a year ago. It will feature an ensemble cast with characters portraying Ailes and those at FNC during the scandal, which began when ex-host Gretchen Carlson filed her $20 million sexual harassment lawsuit against Ailes.

Charlize is an amazing actress and one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. Her transformation into Aileen Wornos for Monster was mesmerizing. I think I was most amazed that they were actually able to make her ugly.
She’s great in Atomic Blonde too! I am in love with everything about the movie and have watched it about 10 times this month. James Bond meets John Wick with a great story/mystery.
I am glad she is leaving. Where is Theron going to? Back to South Africa?
Charlize will leave when the rest of the Hollywood Idiots leave which is never.
It's getting to the point where I will purposely not watch a film if she's in it.

With Jay Roach directing and with a screenplay by Charles Randolph I don’t doubt it, although it is going to be tricky to disentangle the views of the women from their boss. The movie is a few years away in any case, the script hasn’t been written so a lot can change with so topical a subject matter.

Charlize simply said that she had thought about it if work required her to take the kids to certain parts of the country. I don’t see her as that overtly political but mostly as a response to her upbringing and OCD she is a freak about her safety and security.

They’ll find some charities that will “buy” tickets for all of the underprivileged to go see it (like that Black Panther movie?), and it will boost the attendance figures way beyond belief. Like busing in SEIU members....It will remind us of voter turnout from 2007-2016. The 0 & 0 ventures have that stuff down to a science.
Charlize does need a life again outside her kids and mom. You can tell she looks much more uncomfortable in interviews now then a few years ago.
