I was just reading another thread about where the “Cross-fire Hurricane” code name originated. The thread was yanked. It was interesting and had me searching for answers. FReepers are great at finding info. The moderator who pulled the thread said to post to this Q thread. I would never have seen the info if it had not been a vanity post because the Q thread is sooooooooooo long and full of puzzles. heh

From Swordmaker's LexiQon:

Crossfire Hurricane: (#1400) Purported name of the early Russia/Trump investigation begun even before the drunken Popadopoulus meeting with the professor in London which Peter Strzok was dispatched to investigate. The words were taken from the Rolling Stones' 1986 single "Jumpin' Jack Flash."

I was born in a cross-fire hurricane
And I howled at the morning driving rain
But it's all right now, in fact, it's a gas
But it's all right. I'm Jumpin' Jack Flash

However, the Rolling Stones had actually used the term “Crossfire Hurricane” in other lyrics as early as 1968. (See FBI, George Papadopoulos, PS, Peter Strzok).

Carter Page Blames Comey’s FBI for Destroying Consulting Business, Relationship

....“Page believes the FBI’s mole, professor Stefan Halper, was secretly spying on him as part of a “politically motivated” investigation of Team Trump, using fake sympathy to gain his trust — all while fishing for dirt on Page’s ties to Russia, where he’d worked as an energy consultant,” Sperry reports.....

“I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out to be a trap,” Page told the veteran reporter.

Carter Page complains about possible mole

I don't know about anyone else, but every time I've seen Carter Page interviewed he has always given people the benefit of the doubt...until proven guilty. This is the first time I've seen that he is blaming anyone directly. If so, why the change?
