The biggest barrier is the carefully nurtured but still false belief that other people care whether they are black, brown, or indigenous people. If those who are being exploited by the left could forget that trivial detail, they would notice that no one else cares either.

You should have a problem with the people taking it; it reinforces a destructive mindset. At the local Wal-Mart (between Newark and Jersey City, NJ) cops are arresting “victims” who simply load up carts and walk out the door without paying.

That is EXACTLY the same argument I used on my cousin several years ago, a UT law school graduate. It ended her argument. She is know a budding conservative behind enemy lines in Austin, TX.

But if you expounded on the truth, no one got it right. Not the north, south, church (save pockets of saints having meditated on Scripture), the merchant class, the average citizen, or blacks themselves.

The evil of slavery comes from the evil hearts of men that do not apply the Gospel of Christ to it. It is only when the light of the Gospel is applied that chains are removed and liberty is established.
