Seen it, its flopping not because of itself, its marketing etc, though its a pretty meh movie.. it is failing due to the fan base pretty much being angry about the last mainline movie being so awful and deciding, we’ve had enough...
Period.
This could be very bad for the brand. It reminds me of a wife who decides one day that she’s had it with her husband’s antics and simply doesn’t love him any more. Unless she has some strong religious reason for sticking it out at that point, the marriage is over.
This could destroy the relationship between the Star Wars brand and its fan base - Once and for all.

Agreed. I haven't seen it. I took my son to see the last one. I was frustrated during the movie because they so radically obfuscated Good and Evil. None of the characters were sure if they were good or bad. They all seemed confused about what they were fighting for. Then there was the overt Feminist influence.
I'm over it.
Went to see it recently, and found that, after my 30-minute mid-movie nap, I didn’t really miss anything.
