Val Kilmer has been consistantly condescending and insulting to the military.
Kilmer] I understand it more. It’s an actor’s job. A guy who’s lived through the horror of Vietnam has not spent his life preparing his mind for it. He’s some punk. Most guys were borderline criminal or poor, and that’s why they got sent to Vietnam. It was all the poor, wretched kids who got beat up by their dads, guys who didn’t get on the football team, couldn’t finagle a scholarship. They didn’t have the emotional equipment to handle that experience. But this is what an actor trains to do. I can more effectively represent that kid in Vietnam than a guy who was there.

He was also good as Nick Rivers in the 1984 movie Top Secret! ................................ Singing and dancing talent was exposed, and he knew a little German.
Post above says he had throat cancer. I had cancer and was allergic to something in the chemo. Instead of trying to figure out what I was allergic to they treated it with high doses of steroids. A lot of people get treated with steroids for various conditions and yes, it will blow you up.
Thanks the first hand report. I’ve always liked Val Kilmer and thought he was great in Heat as well as Tombstone.
“Im your huckleberry
He did a great job in that role.
“Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum! Mandelbaum!”
Looks like this cast is not going to have much of an overdrive to shove it into
“Grab your walker Maverick and I’ll get my cane, we have an emergency”.
I bet all the fat keyboard commandos are the ones making fun of his weight.
Yes, that WAS a good movie. But Kilmer’s character didn’t get a lot of dialog. It was a vanilla performance he just kind of phoned in. Denzel was the big star.
I don’t believe the 35’s are carrier based yet.
Tombstone was a great movie.
Without Kilmer’s Doc Holliday, it would have been just an okay movie.
I remember seeing pictures of Jerry Lewis while he was undergoing a treatment. I was going along with the other poster about Ice Man - in any case Hollyweird can’t come up with new stories, they have to continually do remakes of remakes or continue with a series of films after the first one was a success and should have stopped then. Case in point is Star Wars. The first one was great, had a great ending but no, we had to be assaulted with one SW sequel after another after another ad nausea.
I guess Hollyweird has money to burn on failing projects at the box office.
Jerry Lewis was a prime example of what Prednisone does to patients. Also jacks up blood-sugar.
I don't know, but I hope it's played by an F35.
And McCain was never a fighter pilot.
Kilmer has gotten obese, how’s he going to fit in the cockpit?
He killed more Americans with his bombs than gooks, that’s why the left loves him.
