Actually, I’m glad Val is healthy enough to sign up for this part. I’d seen pictures of him over the last few years and he was obviously very, very sick. His incredible portrayal of Doc Holiday in “Tombstone” will always entitle him a warm spot in my heart. “I’m your huckleberry”
Recent pictures of Kilmer show a frail, sick man. I read he has/had throat cancer and they operated on his trachea at some point. That operation supposedly damaged his voice. In the most recent pictures, he always has his neck covered.

He did a great job in that role.
Tombstone was a great movie.
Without Kilmer’s Doc Holliday, it would have been just an okay movie.
