I remember that. Let’s put it in perspective. The guy came across the snake while harvesting palm oil in Indonesia. He tried to hack it to death with a machete and paid the price for his stupidity. The snake was a wild female retic about 22-23 feet long. If the guy hadn’t attacked her, he would still be alive. How do I know this was the case? The snake was severely wounded around the head and neck. Had she attacked him first, he wouldn’t have been able to harm her. As it turns out, the wounds she received were mortal. He was her last meal.
I am intimately familiar with reticulated pythons. I keep up on the very rare occurances of deaths by this species and other large constrictor species. Nice try though... but your dog (pun intended) don’t hunt.
Oh, and you do realize, that was a wild animal, not a pet right?
