One of the movies I have up from IBM Research was done on teaching arithmetic to children. This was Luanne's project, but I directed and guided the video, teaching Luanne to do the actual editing. She used a fascinating approach to offering individual levels of hints at problem solving.

I wish we had more information on WHY RR’s doing it. I wish Q would come back and give us hints to chase. I wish...

I know what you mean about your comment “Can’t tell you how many times a problem has been solved in a way I never thought about - I am always learning, too!” Lately I dream more than I ever have with many questions answered. I was mopping the other day and just out of the blue there was an answer I was seeking for a time.

I’ve set deadlines based on the faith that an answer would suddenly spring full blown into my head. I really believe much of problem solving goes on subconsciously. It’s a terrifying way to work, but it seems like what is actually going on in those funny heads of ours. Showers are another good place for those answers to suddenly make themselves known.
I’ve got two people in my head yelling all the time. One says RR is a villain, one says he’s a saint. I can’t hear anything anymore because they won’t stop shouting. WHEN will we finally know?

Thank you, mairdie!! Our middle child is an English major/Creative Writing minor/soccer enthusiast, so he may find this fascinating from a different perspective. Please know I will share it with him.
Although, - no - BECAUSE I am on summer vacay, this is the time of year I can read what I want, explore where I want, and basically dilly-dally to my heart’s content.

My speculation is still weak in that area.
My current leaning has been morphing from Black Hats to Grey Hats where RR and RM are concerned.
ie. implementing their portions of the plan, whether they like it or not.
In RR’s case that might mean don’t release docs that can help the enemy until it’s too late for them (and their prosecution is secure and midterm timing is right.), while folding more and more of the “ALL” (“We have it ALL.”) into evidence.
Could explain both slow-walking, and rapid doc collection on RR’s part.
Let me know if you need a better explanation. I produced a fuller one, with more understandable examples, for my book on Henry Livingston. It gives the words that represent those phonemes, which are MUCH more understandable for children. I’ll swipe my book text and send it to you, if you want.
