MELANIA Trump has praised the Queen for the "honour" of inviting them for tea at Windsor Castle.

The First Lady tweeted out photographs of Her Majesty beaming as she greeted her and the US President yesterday afternoon.

The pair flew in to the Queen's Berkshire residence yesterday evening, and were treated with the honour of a display from the Coldstream guards.

The couple greeted the smiling Queen outside before returning inside for tea.

Melania tweeted today: "It was an honor to meet and have tea with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll. @POTUS and I enjoyed the visit and her company very much!"

The social media message was accompanied by four photographs of the visit, including snaps of them with the Queen and guards.

Melania looked every bit the glamorous First Lady as she met the Queen with husband Donald yesterday afternoon.

The Queen beamed as she greeted the US President and his wife.

President Trump and Melania then flew on to Scotland where they now are staying in Trump's Turnberry resort in Aryshire.

Today he is set to have a round of golf and prepare for his key meeting with President Putin on Monday.

Mr Trump said this morning: "I have arrived in Scotland and will be at Trump Turnberry for two days of meetings, calls and hopefully, some golf - my primary form of exercise!

"The weather is beautiful, and this place is incredible! Tomorrow I go to Helsinki for a Monday meeting with Vladimir Putin."

Being a woman, I wouldn’t have expected you to know anything about men’s clothes. I might add that you take criticism like a woman as well: as a personal attack and an excuse to get your feelings hurt.

I was walking around over in London one trip over there. Heck, it was about 70 and felt cool so I put on my summer coat. I ended up packing that coat over my shoulders for the entire walk.

When I was there over the summer of '89, the locals told me they hadn't seen it that hot in a dog's age. It was really brutal, and at that time, most buildings in England didn't have air conditioning.

I quickly discovered that if you wanted to take in a movie, it was best to go on a weeknight, and at the last showing, when it was the coolest.

Tell you what, though. The winter of '89-'90 MORE than made up for it. I've never been so cold in all my life.

Melania looks excellent. No wrinkles or puckered seams on her. It’s OK if Trump doesn’t worry too much about clothes. I’ll live. But when my lifetime favorite president meets the world’s senior head of state and our closest ally, my preference is for him not to look like an unmade bed. But that’s just me.

All good excuses, and fashion can be fun. I just like it to be comfy and pretty and out of nice materials! Daily I’m between lululemon and Johnny was style wise. Sometimes I get 20 minutes to get a work out in so I need to be ready. Plus I’m doing a lot of serious caregiving so comfort and washable is a must.

Also, I hope he is wearing a bulletproof vest underneath his jackets. Can you imagine how warm it must get?

Prince Phillip retired from public duties this last year. Personally, I’m glad she met them alone. Her beaming smile, her happiness to be at her beloved home where her husband may have been close by, why not? She represents England of the 40’s onward. Donald is very much a throwback to that same era in his attitude, toughness, kindness, generosity and loyalty. I liked the way she guided him on their promenade. His expression said to me, “I can’t believe I’m walking with the Queen”. Perhaps he was thinking of what his beloved mom would have said?

Did anyone notice that the Trumps didn’t bow or curtsey to the Queen?

You’re right. I forgot he retired. It occurs to me that Prince Phillip has a reputation for being blunt, and saying the wrong thing at times, not unlike President Trump.
Is it still protocol to bow and curtsey to the Queen?

The Queen looks great, doesn’t she? How old is she now, 92?

I’m not an expert but most people attempt some kind of bow or curtsey in recognition of her Royalty. I was kind of proud, in a 1776 sort of way, when they stood straight and shook her hand. Yes Phillip was famous for his faux pas. You’re probably correct that the Queen would be right at home with our President. Mind you, I’ll never forget the photos of her being a truck mechanic/driver during WWII before her daddy died. A country girl all the way.

“Have you looked at his crotch and the back of his knees, those pants are so wrinkled.”

Donald Trump is the Anti-Obama, the crease of whose trousers convinced one David Brooks that BHO was well qualified to be POTUS. See where that got us.

Not for Americans, it’s not! Tho nowadays she receives more “head bows” and The Donald DID do a head bow. Still there were those usual casts of twitter characters all atwitter about the Trumps’ failure to bow to the Queen.
