I loaded all my items on the counter. One of my coupons had expired just the week before. It was one of those Extra Bucks. It was for $7. I had earned that for all my shopping in their beauty department. It's a quarterly thing. The more you spend, the more you earn.
The cashier was going to let it go, but she was new and couldn't figure out how to bypass the system and put the coupon into the system. At the next register, an overzealous manager (probably 21 years old), overheard what was going on. He told me that the coupon had expired.
I politely explained to him that it was only a week, I've been shopping there for over 40 years, I had earned it, I had earned it, on and on. This idiot wouldn't budge.
I hated to do this to the poor cashier, but I told them to cancel the order. The amount of money I spend in that store, not to even mention all of my family's prescriptions, is quite substantial.
I told myself that I wasn't going back, but I'd only be spiting myself, and truth be told, the coupon had expired. That guy (kid) was a jerk. He treats me like a queen now, lol. I do the majority of my shopping now at Amazon. Sorry so long; thanks for reading.
We might be related.
Yep, sad to say that I get better service at Amazon than CVS and other places.
