I thought he was describing McCain.

Whatever I may have achieved in my life, whatever respect I may have earned, I sure as hell would hate to throw it all away in my final years like this guy has.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

George is now slithering around on his stomach.

“George Will:”This sad, embarrassing wreck of a man” (Trump)”

George Won’t.

... "Man, George just described himself..." ...

That was my first thought too, leftist projection.

He was born with an above average intellect, but only above average. Without character or creativity or an ability to connect with others in a normal way (probably because he developed a winning formula that prevented him from having to learn it) in retrospect his entire career was the act of an ordinary man sitting down to write with a thesaurus next him, substituting 3 syllable words for what could have been 1 syllable, 5 syllables for 3, then rearranging the clauses in almost random order to appear clever, original and unordinary.

But there was a time in his career when his logic was missing elsewhere in small-government writing, so like any man who contributed something at one point only to become impotent and then looney when his own character flaws (usually ego and pride) swallowed him ... we can be thankful for his contribution. He certainly hasn't done any harm since he started blathering.

Reminds me a lot of Mitt, the 'conservatism' was just a vehicle, not a heartfelt affinity. When the act no longer impresses, or becomes exposed as an act rather than sincerity, and the attention is no longer focused on him, the actor goes off the deep end. Neither are exactly leftists or even globalists. Both I think don't believe anything, except that they may believe they believe something.

Leftists and never-Trumpers cannot stop projecting. It is a sign of their mental illness.
