After mentioning the Heritage Foundation in one of my columns in the Staten Island Advance, I received an invite to their annual Christmas party at the Union league Club in Manhattan.
After exchanging a few words with a reporter from Associated Press, he said. "How come a woman like you, who grew up in the barrio, ended up being a Republican?" My standard answer to that inquiry has always been, "high IQ."
However my answer, while facetious, was not entirely descriptive of my electoral registration choice. It was more my maverick Aquarian nature that compelled me to decline joining my family's traditional devotion to the Democrat Party. Yet my political junkie status began as a teenager, who along with nuns in my H.S. was super excited about JFK's candidacy.
Although I could never vote for him, I followed his campaign religiously, nearly touched his hand on a stop on 23rd street and when of age my first presidential vote went to Democrat Hubert Humphrey. I also volunteered to work for Robert Kennedy's senatorial campaign. I never voted for Richard Nixon and was politically naive until Ronald Reagan ran for president in 1976.
Our local Catholic newspaper ran an article about Reagan and I was very impressed with his political views as they squared with my values. I voted for him in the primary which he lost to President Ford who then lost to Jimmy Carter. After becoming president, His influence on the Republican platform converted me into a bona fide Republican. The Democrat party I grew up with had morphed into the socialist party the nuns had warned against. I also began doing the research of the party after watching the D.W. Griffith film, Birth of a Nation.

I would say it was against their natural self interest, but in line with their “perceived” self interest.
Most liberals believe that they are the pigs in Animal Farm. They are equal, but more equal, and when the revolution comes, they will be the politburo members, telling everybody else how to live. Or, they will be founding members of the Committee for Public Safety.
They hate white people. Their number 1 priority is to target & hurt white people. Nevermind how destructive their policies are-it’s all about getting whitey.

My latest ‘end of discussion’ with a dumb liberal is just to say “You love the government, that’s how stupid you are”
Because all I ever tell them is to stop spouting slogans, and research things for themselves... and then the lunacy starts.

Why do you say it’s against their natural self-interest?
Since 1965, ten trillion dollars, maybe more, have been given to minorities for no work and no effort. Entire categories of high paying jobs have been reserved for them. Expensive university educations have been showered on them without the normal qualification process. Their opinions and grievances have been elevated to the highest possible status in the information, social, and entertainment industries.
Of course voting to keep this up is in their natural self interest.
Because very few of them actually got anything but a pittance from this. Most of it was given to federal bureaucrats who passed some of it to state bureaucrats who passed some of it to local bureaucrats who passed some of it to community leaders and organizers who stole as much as they could.
The actual “recipients” were kept dumb and stupid, thinking the reason they did not get more of this largess was because of the evil taxpayers, not their own representatives.
Their real interest would have been to vote for Republicans or conservatives, who wanted them to have jobs.

It's because leftards depend on altruism, and Jews are trained to accept altruism as one of the highest virtues. Altruism requires sacrifice of values, which is anti-life, because life requires gaining and keeping values.
Public school education, and giving away personal responsibility in favor of government crumbs for sustenance.
Well, it is true -- after a fashion.
Democrats want to prevent the common man from becoming rich. Republicans want to teach the common man how to become rich, and remove barriers to his upward progress.
For the Free Sh!t.
