Dolly the Sheep was a middle aged sheep and all her clones were born essentially middle aged. They all died of ailments that affect old sheep at a very early physical age.
If we cloned a human being who was say 56 or so, the baby would be born literally at age 56..................
I just went to “gasp” Wiki, and it addressed this and it said that her death was not attributed to the age of her original copy. Other clones from the same line have live 9 and 11 years. That’s pretty good for sheep.
Not trying to get into a pissing contest. It’s an interesting concept. I am more interested in stem cells. The world has two of my offspring. It doesn’t need more of me.
