Very cool! Saw them in Phoenix in the early ‘70s, theater in the round with a revolving stage, it was great. Loved “In the Hall of the Mountain King” live.
Love them. Have greatest hits CDs. Great driving music.
Mr.Blue Sky is always great to hear.
Yes, they played “Handle With Care” from the Wilburys and showed photos of the members, Harrison, Lynn, Petty, Orbison and Dylan on the screen. Hard to believe only Linn and Dylan are still alive. They were calling the male backup singer Roy Orbison because he sang those parts and did a pretty good job.
The Wilburys have to be one of the most underrated bands of all time. Too bad most of them are dead now.
I saw ELO in Annapolis in the early 80s. They did the Time album along with other favorites. Started the show with the Robot coming out on stage and doing the Time album intro. Leading edge tech for that day.
Glad they did Showdown which is my favorite ELO tune.
That song list looks right, and it was great. I wish they would have played “Strange Magic” too.
I was really surprised when I discovered awhile back that ELO never had a single #1 single in the USA. I believe that they did have something from movie in the UK that hit #1.
They had some of the most awesome songs. They deserved many # 1’s.
“Midnight Blue” was always one of my favorites.
Time is a fantastic album, it restored my faith in ELO after DISCOvery.
One Summer Dream is also one of my favorites, would have been a perfect song for Roy Orbison to cover.

Cannot think of a single ELO tune I would want in my library. For shame.
Celebrity Theatre? Saw Alan Parsons Project there a couple of years ago. Great venue!
I think my favorites are “Mr Blue Sky” with the fake ending, “Do Ya”, “Can’t Get it out of my Head”.
Some of my fondest memories were listening to acts like the Wilburys and Roy Orbison driving across the Big Empty as a kid.
“End of the Line” will be played at my funeral.
This I swear is the best live concert video on YouTube. It captures ELO in 2001:

His backup strings and vocals are NOT GUILTY in this I’d dare say as well.
“Midnight Blue” was Lou Gramm.
Excellent song.
