On their way out, the white farmers should burn everything to the ground and salt the earth.....if they can do so without getting killed.
And bury scars of bouncing betties about their lands.

No need to take the risk. The new occupants will raze these properties and all the assets in them. They will rip out all the copper, plumbing, anything that can be sold for quick cash. It happened in Zimbabwe and it will happen in South Africa. Hopefully, white farmers have been anticipating this for a long time and have been liquidating as much as possible so to protect themselves and families. It my guess that most have already bought new homes in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, maybe Israel, others. Anyway, I wish them well.

It wouldn’t matter if they made the land barren. In 5 years all the white farmers will be gone and nobody will be able to replace them. there is a lot to know about working the land.
They don't need to. I have friends who lost a farm in Zimbabwe many years ago... he still flies overhead in his little Cessna to see what's up. No one is working the land, the buildings are falling down... people died and no one is using the seized farms. It will be the same in S.A.
Just leave.
The new owners will do that for them. Don’t make it worse politically.
