So the running out the clock is geared toward the mid-terms rather than any [RR] impeachment. Also, the DECLAS is what will get rid of that weasel, not impeachment.

See above. PDJT has been setting the stage since before his election to destroy the Dem media’s influence. DECLASS could be the final nail in that coffin.
It seems clear that [RR] holds all the (unredacted) cards on all of this, and that DECLASS or impeachment will spill all of his cards face up on the table, and this is what the Dems are most worried about.
In the best outcome, the entire Dem >> Media >> Hollywood >> Education >> Soros funding, etc., cabal could come crashing down, if [RR] gives up the goods.

I think it may be less about controlling the court (they will lose it regardless of Kavanaugh) and more about controlling the Congressional investigation and confirmation process.
But the mid terms are key nonetheless. The DECLAS will assure we win them, so kill the DECLAS and they still have a hope. Allow it, and they are doomed and they know it.
This Kavanaugh nonsense serves the dual purpose of convincing the public that the Repubs HATE HATE HATE women, minorities, little kids, and puppies. This Kavanaugh b.s. is a battle in the court of public opinion.
This is what victory looks like for the derps. Kill off the Kavanaugh nomination, win the mid terms, shut down the investigations, control the confirmation process, make Trump the devil (even more) and continue the resitance into 2020. Maybe toss in impeachment proceddings for good luck.
Now, not only does any Trump/Sessions/Huber action look like desperation defense against Mueller, but also against impeachment. Ride that horse out till 2020 and beat Trump, who is fighting impeachment.

Killing the Kavanaugh nomination, winning the Senate assures that Trump must nominate some squish, probably a compromised candidate and BOOM there goes the SC. Derps retain their ultimate cover and we're screwed.
It's a nice dream. They are soooooooooo close, with the Senate vote so close and teetering on the edge. If we pick up seats (and they will) they lose that too. If we pick up just a few Senate votes, it's way over for derpdom and we rule all the lands and can fix this mess and MAGA our asses off.
DECLAS/[RR]/Kavanaugh are ALL keys to victory, for both sides. That's why PANIC IN DC/PANIC IN UK. That's why desperation Feinstein Barbie showed up.

So far, I like this movie. I like when the good guys win in the end. And I don't see us losing. I really don't. We do have everything, after all.
