Probably designed by the same geniuses who designed that pedestrian bridge in Florida.
I think I see the problem.
“Hicks suspects there may have been something under the bridge that let go which caused the collapse.”
That kind of cogent engineering analysis is something we should teach in school.
Built by Dems.
that looks like really crappy construction, sheeze, seriouisly that’s horrible
But it was built to Canadian standards!
Wasn’t even under load...
Is it my imagination,
or did the left pylon supports “settle”?
Not a resume enhancer for that construction company.
Best to look elsewhere for the next builders.
Hey Fred, did you put that truss bolt in?
Uhm yeah..................
Trolls. Count on it.
I want to hear the condemnation of the engineers who built this bridge....heard it about the Florida bridge collapse...
In spite of the damage, that bridge doesn’t look new.
That’s what I’m seeing
Piling assembly on viewers left did a bit of “accelerated settling”. Increased the span, section falls.
Ooopsie
We dont need no steenkin cofferdam! Just toss some some surge in there!
There’s no way that is completely new structure. The pilings look new but that bridge deck, girders, and railings look like they were existing. Looks like they just put new pilings under it.
The concept was sound. The execution was at fault. The two main portions of the pedestrian bridge was meant to be supported by cables from a central tower. They put up half of it counting on the rigidity of the span to be enough support until the second span and supporting cables could be put in place. They were horribly wrong with deadly consequences.
YEEE HAWWW!!!
You must be right. Patent trolls, in fact.
Detected some infringed technology, reclaimed it, and there you have it.
