Q told us months ago this day would come, as we were reminded today:
Did the IG recommend [RR] step down or be fired [speed]? Why was Rachel Brand removed?
Answer: RR could just RECUSE. Apparently the Main Socialist Media got it WRONG AGAIN, in saying he has already resigned or been fired.
I'm putting my Crow Sandwich in the icebox for now. Seems like I won't be eating it until at least Thursday, when RR meets with POTUS.

IMO, Grassley should open the Thursday Confirmation hearing with these words -- spoken slowly, loudly and clearly;
IOW, he should make it crystal clear that the meeting is a Consitutional Senate Confirmation Hearing -- not a "Me Too" rally!!!

Seems unlikely... more likely a trap for POTUS. Time will (soon) tell. POTUS need not accept the resignation unless RR demands it... gains nothing firing RR. Truth will out and RR will get whatever he deserves. (POTUS at UN in NYC this week; more important.)
Me too. Fight scenes in plays and movies are VERY carefully choreographed. I was in a fight scene in a play at camp once when I was about 13, each step and move was precise.
Back in my grad school days (University of Colorado) spent quite a few summertime hours....including at least one 4th of July....skiing on a place known as St. Mary's Glacier.

No lifts, bars or parking lots so the skiing was at least half rugged terrain hike followed by a nice run back down (provided you didn't get off into the rocks like that one poor dude did...), but....

On February 1, 2017, President Donald Trump nominated Brand to be United States Associate Attorney General. Her appointment was confirmed 52–46 by the U.S. Senate on May 18, 2017,and she was sworn in on May 22, 2017. The reauthorization of the 702 section of the surveillance law was a job assignment of the subject according to CNN. On February 9, 2018, the New York Times reported that Brand, along with her assistant Currie Gunn, resigned from the Justice Department. The NY Times article indicated Brand oversaw "a wide swath of the Justice Department" and helped lead the department’s effort to extend Section 702 of the FISA Amendments Act that "authorizes the National Security Agency’s warrantless surveillance program." On February 12, 2018, NBC News reported that Brand quit the Justice Department over fear she might be asked to oversee the Russia probe and was taking a position with Walmart as EVP of Global Governance and Corporate Secretary.
She was apparently deep into FISA. Wikipedia says she stepped down, but I suspect that she was pushed out as part of DS housecleaning.
