IMO, the peak year for one-hit wonders was 1970:
Venus
Ma Belle Amie
Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Goes)
Spirit in the Sky
Vehicle
Reflections of My Life
O-o-h Child
United We Stand
Ride Captain Ride
My Baby Loves Lovin’
Are You Ready?
Tighter, Tighter
In the Summertime
All Right Now
Somebody’s Been Sleeping
Indiana Wants Me
Yellow River
Montego Bay
Two of the original Reggae songs:
Desmond Dekker - The Israelites
Dave & Ansell Collins - Double Barrel
If I remember ALL of the songs you listed, does that make me OLD?
You mentioned Yellow River. A great song written and sung by Englishman Jeff Christie who was fascinated by the American Civil War. It’s about a Confederate soldier who’s going back home.

1967 or 1968 -- Sunday Will Never Be The Same By Spanky and Our Gang (I heard them a lot at the Purple Onion in SF. They had another one later that sold a lot, but wasn't very good.)
