Gosh, it’s just stuff I throw in off the top of my head, but I’ll try:
4 -5 cups sliced apples (I used Paula Red or Ida Red)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. vanilla (although you can never use too much vanilla)
3 tbsp. corn starch
1 cup brown sugar
about 1/4 cup of cream
lots of blobs of butter on top before you put the crust on
I use the Tenderflake recipe. I put the top crust on and paint it with egg yolk. Then, with the leftover dough, I cut out an apple, two leaves and a stem. I paint the apple with red food colour, the leaves with green, them mix a few drops of red with green and get a bit of brown food colour for the stem. After they’re painted, brush them with egg yolk as well. Let them sit a few minutes then gently place them on the middle of the pie. The pie bakes up really cute with a big shiny apple in the middle.
Goodness.
That ain’t a pie, it’s fine art.
I’d *almost* hesitate to take a fork to that.
...almost.....
Thank you SO much! I will give this a try...and let you know.

That sounds too pretty to eat.
You are quite the Artist!
Never used cream in pie. I will try.
