Here’s a scenario that would drive the left even more nuts than they are now: The Republicans keep both the House and the Senate in the mid terms, increasing their majority to 58 seats in the Senate. The day after the mid terms, RBG announces her retirement, effective immediately.
The only possible way that either Ginsburg or Breyer will leave while Trump is President is feet first.
better yet post-midterm, if Ginsberg and Breyer both announced retirement AND Trump announced that CIA has found Obama’s real birthplace so that Kagan/Sotomayor are annulled.
So long as we are dreaming, let Sotomayor resign in frustration and take Kagan with her. We can keep Breyer as some sort of souvenir of “the old days.”
