I’m not in favor of the abolition of women’s sports, I’m more in favor of the abolition of coed youth sports. Girls can play softball if they wanna, but even if the best players among the girls can play baseball with the boys, that is guaranteed to change between the 13th and 15th birthdays. So it basically teaches a lie.

That star girl player who makes the Little League team humiliates the boy - every boy - who didn’t. And the star girl player who starts and stars, throws shade on the boys on the bench as well as those who didn’t make the team. It’s an unnecessary humiliation of those boys, whose athletic ability will, after all, transcend that of the “star athlete” girl in a year or three.

A couple of years ago the Little League champion team was from Philadelphia, and it featured a girl pitcher, who got lots of publicity locally. Wonder where she is now? I mean, the chance that she is even pretty good at baseball among boys of her current age is slight. A pro prospect, for sure she ain't.

Girls no doubt can benefit from competition among themselves. But nothing to be said in favor of girls’ teams can withstand the acceptance of ersatz “girls" into competitions putatively limited to, you know, actual girls.

There are differences. Historically, most men were farmers, and most women were homemakers. When most men were farmers, they learned farming from apprenticeship, as it were, to their fathers. And girls learned to be homemakers from their mothers. That has been scrambled. Boys have to figure out their mission in life, because their fathers, by and large, do not assume that their sons will follow directly in their footsteps (unless there’s a family business). And marriage is not considered the be-all-and-end-all for women, who can easily find themselves in need of a career after a couple of decades of marriage.

Basically a lot of jobs don’t need athletes to perform them anymore, and women don’t think they should have to defer to men in jobs that don’t require physical strength.

I agree.

Women and girls should have their sports leagues as men and boys should have theirs. As you brought out girls develop sooner than boys but the boys mature later and soon pass them in strength and ability.

The tranny thing is a complete farce and how any sports association can go along with it is beyond me, it has to be the liberal PC, feel good and inclusiveness thing.
