"Stealing a car is only a misdemeanor ????"

Read the article. Seriously. From Findlaw.com:

"Wobbler Crimes
California auto theft laws are drafted such that it may be charged as either a misdemeanor or a felony. Crimes of this kind are sometimes referred to as "wobblers." The severity of the charge depends on the circumstances of the offense and the offender's criminal history."

Apparently, if the car value is "under $1,500", it can be written off as a misdemeanor, and a ticket is issued. He/she/it walks.

Yeah, I was surprised, too. No mention of the fact that someone who loses a "$1,500" car is more likely to be unable to replace it.

Just another reason that: To paraphrase the Untouchables. "I want to get these f#cks where they breathe! I want you to find these nancy-boy democrats, I want them DEAD! I want their family DEAD! I want their house burned to the GROUND! I wanna go there in the middle of the night and I wanna P#SS ON THEIR ASHES!"

Do it to them before they do it to us...

iirc, she broke into the place to steal the car, so it would seem to be breaking and entering as well as grand theft. But this is a new world, especially in St. Louis County. In this latest instance, no hate crime charges, even though one story reported that she said she attacked the victim because she was “old.” Even if you factor out race, isn’t it still a hate crime to attack someone for being old? McCullough is right in that the victim would be alive if the local jurisdiction had issued a warrant for the earlier crime. Seems she did enough in Memphis that she probably should have been safely locked up down there already.

In other St. Louis news: The St. Louis City prosecutor is dropping 91 criminal cases because she charged 4 St. Louis cops with excessive force in dealing with protesters after another cop was acquitted in a shooting case months ago. Bucking former policy, they let the cops stay on the job while they were under investigation, the upshot being that now the notorious city prosecutor claims that all cases these cops were involved with during the investigation are tainted. Thus, 91 alleged criminals walk, which suits the prosecutor just fine because the goal is to ameliorate the “racial disparity” in incarceration. Such is “justice” in the St. Louis metro area.
