This is a video of a protestor in France. He is just standing there and he seems to get shot in the head and drops down.

Lots of speculation of tear gas to sniper shot. Your input Freepers please.

I’m not making any judgement on the video, but if it was then the next questions would be, who and why?
It reminds me of the chaotic scenes in the Maidan Square in Kiev in Ukraine; I followed a lot of footage of events there and it appeared some of the shooters were firing to kill into both sides.

The video is not of high enough quality to determine what, if anything, happened. I couldn’t even tell which figure “just standing there” it was supposed to have happened to.

Agreed that the video quality was too low. Even if the picture was clear, it might have been hard to tell what happened for sure. The man was a long way from the camera.

Almost certainly not a headshot by a rifle, even a handgun is unlikely. From a purely physics/mechanics standpoint, an unsupported standing target hit in the head will jerk and lever over away from the shot just from the impact energy.

Given that there were tear gas canisters being fired in that vicinity I'd guess one struck a glancing blow to his head and knocked him out.

I don’t understand why all the fuss if a head shot or not! He could have collapsed in that way just as easily from a body shot that damages the spinal column. Canister blast? No. Head blow in some way? Yes.

It could have been a tracer ricochet. But I would bet our supposed target is dead.

It’s being reported that French snipers are shooting protesters. 110 people injured so far. It has not been established whether They are using rubber bullets or live ammo.
