Just home from church and trying to catch up. Have you guys been able to understand the Turkey/Flynn stuff. I feel so far behind. Thought I’d ask before I get out my shovel.

I haven’t had time to dig. All I remember is that it seemed to involve Gulen, who needs to get out of the US - and it seemed that whatever Flynn did was a nothingburger.

Gulen has charter schools all over the US even on military bases and they teach Islamism, Gulen’s foundation or whatever the hell it is gives big $ to politicians, and also they bring in Mozlem teachers to teach in the charter schools.

Probably worse stuff than that. Gulen lives in some enclave/big property (IIRC) in Pennsylvania someplace.

Gulen would be no better than Erdog if he was in charge in Turkey. They’re both on board with Islamicizing the world, they just each want to be the big dog.

The Turkey / Flynn situation was the result of Flynn’s company lobbying on behalf of the Erdogan government of Turkey in 2016 which continued until early 2017.

Turkey accuses Gulen of sponsoring the failed coup against their government and seeks his extradition from the US.

“Mueller gives new details on Flynn’s Secretive Work for Turkey”

“Federal prosecutors said in the court filing, which refers to Gulen, though not by name, that Flynn’s decision not to disclose that he was aiding the Turkish government “impeded the ability of the public to learn about the Republic of Turkey’s efforts to influence public opinion about the failed coup, including its efforts to effectuate the removal of a person legally residing in the United States.”
