A 101 year old lady has the patience and skill to wait until the right moment and put the shot in a place that is fatal to both and you question her luck and shot placement?

The real news here is not that two deer were killed with one shot. I have two neighbors who have done so.

You simply need to have the patience to sit and wait until two are in a direct line of fire, and of course to be hunting in an area where deer are so plentiful that grazing in large numbers is everyday stuff.

The real news here is not the double kill. The real news is that a 101 year old woman has the determination and the good health as well as the steady hands to make the shot.

She must be one OK lady.

Perhaps you should read the article. . “Before long, a bigger doe came out and I shot. Then I saw two deer on the ground"

NO where in the article does it even hint that she planned a 2 kill shot. In fact, it sounds like she was surprised. Now I don't know about your neck of the woods, but I always try to place my shot where it will have the best chance of killing the animal, and that place is a chest shot. Besides, you are responsible for your shot and I don't really care to shoot through the animals neck, hopefully hitting an artery, and then worry about where my bullet may decide to go after that. That to me seems like a stupid thing to do. But, you hunt your way and I'll hunt mine.
