Interesting. It appears that Backpage's activities were so nefarious that the government "clawed back" payments that Backpage made to numerous lawyers, including Perkins Coie. The funds that Backpage "earned" were so tarnished that they weren't even fit for lawyers.
That’s interesting. A criminal really shouldn’t be able to use ill gotten gains to fund an elaborate legal defense. Never thought of that before.
