First part of a good Brian Cates/Draw and Strike thread. Doing this to calm my frazzled mind...

The explosive transcripts from former FBI General Counsel James Baker answers a big question I have been asking for almost a year now:

For a period of over a year, FBI personnel were meeting directly with Christopher Steele & Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS.

But this severing of ties and 'firing' of Steele as a paid contractor wasn't *real*.

So why was Bruce Ohr selected to be this new middleman between Fusion GPS and people running the Trump-related investigations at the FBI?

That leads me to conclude this: Bruce Ohr's handwritten notes - seen by @jsolomonReports, who has discussed what they contain - makes it clear this Trump/Russia info was coming straight from Steele/Simpson at Fusion GPS.

So this is why I *strongly suspect* that when DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz's investigators compared Ohr's notes with the official record of how this info got into McCabe/Strzok/Comey's hands at the FBI, they noticed the claimed sources of this info DO NOT MATCH.— Brian Cates (@drawandstrike) January 23, 2019

A whole lot of people assume the IG's office isn't really doing anything and maybe sorta kinda hasn't even *interviewed* Pientka yet.

Pientka has now been revealed to be at the center of the beating heart of not just 1 big scandal in the FBI, but TWO big scandals:

1) the @GenFlynn prosecution

and

2) The secret Fusion GPS/FBI backchannel.

The DOJ held Peter Strzok on ice for almost a year before rolling him out to show what a lunatic he was and then quickly firing his ass.

Because he wouldn't cooperate, Strzok was stuck in the FBI HR Dept. which is where problem agents are stashed until they can be dealt with.

Whatever he told the IG investigators under oath, it looks like it was so explosive and so SENSITIVE that the DOJ is keeping a *very* tight lid on it until they are ready.

The second narrative is that these investigations are so explosive and sensitive the operational security is airtight and they aren't going to leak anything or admit what they've been doing until they are ready.

My take is we'll be hearing from FBI Special Agent Joe Pientka and see his 302 forms from both the @GenFlynn interview & his interviews with Bruce Ohr when the Inspector General has made his SpyGate report public & can start handing over the rest of the evidence to Congress.— Brian Cates (@drawandstrike) January 23, 2019
