Norway was similar, it was seen as a English air field if they left it alone. It also protected the iron ore route that Germany needed. Denmark? Well the Vikings were no longer in the berserk mood. They had their sardines, pastries, pork and cheese and were not prepared to fight off armored divisions. They had a long coast line that the Brits were sure to make use of. They were on the strategic chess board, wrong place at the wrong time.
