The best thing to avoid heart disease is run.

Not walking, not cardio, not bicycling, not weights, but running is shown to be the best insurance against heart disease. If you have not yet bought a home, buy it near a big park.

The idea is to have your body huffing and puffing, heavy breathing. Do not run marathons, that defeats the benefit.

How many people, besides sex, and for how many years, have NEVER had their body to the point of deep, heavy breathing?
How long has it been?

If not, no gasping for air, then your body does not even know it is still alive. Lol.

If I walk 10 feet I’m huffing and puffing like an old teakettle. Marathons ? If I’m running it’s because I’m being chased by Zombies. If I’m walking I’m looking for a chair.

Seriously though, I’ve been doing two or three miles on a stationary bike a couple of times a week or else walking a mile in a pool. Not running but breathing hard nonetheless and, yes, it does feel good.
