Yes, it is from Dungeons and Dragons. I think it was being used as the basis for a coded message:

While I’m not sure how the weavers piece ties in, D&D is not a “demonic” role playing game. Players can be various character classes and most players chose to pick heroic characters that work against evil. I can’t think of any of the modules that aren’t written in this fashion.

Role playing is good practice for the mind and has helped me when dealing with many a derp.
