The United States does not recognize polygamy. Marrying your blood brother and having him say “I divorce thee, I divorce thee, I divorce thee” does not produce a legally binding relationship separation in the United States. It does under sharia, or Islamic, law, which is not compatible with our U.S. Constitution and related body of laws.
