Gargling very salty , warm water as soon as i start to feel a sore throat seems to work well as a home remedy. Just careful not to swallow

Nasal irrigation with those neilmed bottles, add 1-2 packs of the salt they give you, and add a few drops of apple cider vinegar to the full bottle. Do this at the first sign of respiratory, like a sore throat, 2x a day. Along with sleep, this will keep the virus out of your life. You won’t come down with it. I just learned this, this winter.

My mama taught me this.
I’ve tried in vain to teach my kids. They insist on getting a 10-day prescription for antibiotics.
I follow the salty hot-water gargle with listerine gargle & sore throat is gone.
For sinus or chest congestion, boil a pot of water & add a teaspoon of thyme. Breathe steam. Works great for baby’s colic, too.
The medicinal ingredient in chicken soup is thyme.
