I recently watched “Rogue One” because some FReepers had said it was a decent movie; as it concluded all I took away from it was that it was made to correct an oversight in the last of the earlier prequels: It had been implied that an alien race had built the Death Star, and “Rogue One” clarified that it was white men that made it.
Pathetic...
Rogue One was made completely pointless and stupid by the canon-breaking weaponizing of hyperdrive in SW8.
The moment they did that, none of the rest of the Star Wars universe makes sense. If one could make a hyperdrive weapon, nobody would build a ship large enough to be worth targeting with one.
Why even bother to attack the Death Star head on in the original when they could have just sent a hyperspace nuke to obliterate it in one shot?
The entire series is in complete ruin.
