A Web Cam could be a real money maker. A lot of people would pay to watch — it would be like old time auto racing when people watch to see fatalities. The casinos might want to get in on some betting....
Without the Sherpas to lay down ropes, ladders, and oxygen along the way before the climbers get there, probably 1 in a hundred of them - if that - could ever pull this off.
They get the ideas to all rope together and then the top falls off.

Seems folks in Jamaica are running scams where they call people in the States saying that they’ve won the Jamaican Lottery, just send money to cover the taxes...

I did read where two guys going solo are attempting a new route up Everest. No oxygen either. Probably too late for you to join them though!

On another article, I read the actual climbing season is right now, short (Mid May to end of month) and ends by next weekend.
The Nepal government only issued 318 permits to climb the mountain.
So while this looks like a lot, and it is, it doesn’t happen except a few weeks each year. It looks like half the permitees (and obviously certified Nepali guides) are all trying on the same day.
There may well be several days were the weather was too bad and no attempts at the summit were made then, which could further bottleneck the last ascension.
