When I was selling door-to-door many years ago, I loved hitting the Mexican neighborhoods. They are not afraid to spend their money and if they have it and they want something they will buy. I, personally, love the Mexican people, at least the ones I know and that live around me. They are on the whole, good, God-fearing, family-loving, dog-loving, hard-working people.
I don’t know about Hispanics, but the current TV ads, especially the back-to-school types, are maddening. Some have one token white (some have none), with the remaining actors various shades of brown and black. I’m OK with ALL ethnicities, colors, etc., but at least try to have the makeup proportionate to the overall percentage of the country.
Do whites not shop at JC Penny? Do they not eat at Denny’s? In strings of commercials, it’s the same.
Agree. If they must, then at least get the percentages correct. Companies think if they stick with multi-race or two daddies in their fictional families, they’ll have covered all their customers. Nope. Sorry. That only proves they are lazy or bringing in politics.
Last summer, it was rare to see anything but blacks in McDonald’s commercials. Talk about racists, snort. During Christmas it was wall to wall same sex. This summer, companies have tried to insert a Trump dig. Just well the product and shut up!
Most recently, apparently only white women have funky “hoo-has” since there are no other raced women spreading their legs and airing themselves out. What’s the product? Don’t ask me. I’m trying to pick my jaw off the floor with all the singing about “hoo-has”.
We are a bilingual country, everyone else is a 2nd class citizen. Look at aoc she is the face of the future.
