The book is The Argentina Journal: Paintings and Memories: The Israeli Secret Agent Who Captured Nazi War Criminal Adolf Eichmann Through His Art, Peter Z. Malkin, author.

Fascinating write-up on Project MUSE: The Argentina Journal

And that looks like a big ol' Q drop to me!

Thanks for the link on the “Argentina Journal” write up.

Some years ago I read a book called, “Eichmann In My Hands”. Lo and behold, it’s by the same author.

https://www.amazon.com/Eichmann-My-Hands-First-Person-Executioner-ebook/dp/B07GP54YWD/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2AZSE2PT48ZW4&keywords=eichmann+in+my+hands&qid=1567724748&s=gateway&sprefix=eichmann+in+%2Caps%2C273&sr=8-1

One of the striking passages that I have always remembered reminds me of the cabal now.

Malkin broke the rule and was speaking to Eichmann in their safe house after the capture. Eichmann, pretty much resigned to his fate at that point, was concerned about the well-being of his family and kids.

Malkin was a little taken aback and asked Eichmann if he liked kids. The Nazi said yes, of course, he loved little children and the joy they brought.

Malkin pointed out that Eichmann had sent untold numbers of children to their deaths in the camps.

Eichmann’s response? “But they were Jewish.”

That must have been like a bolt of lightning to Malkin, finally realizing that this Nazi’s disconnect from *being human* was a divide that could never be bridged.

Today, with what we’ve learned and researched, have we experienced that ‘bolt of lightning’ of truth? Do we understand that there are people in all walks who are simply disconnected from *being human* as we understand it?

It was quite a memorable book.
