To: Bullish; Lurker

I saw FZ in 1981. It literally changed my life. I never saw music or entertainment the same after that show. He played for about 2 hours without a break...he closed the main part of the show with Yo’ Mama, and that’s when Chad Wackerman stopped for the first time all night and towed himself off. I’d never seen any band play like that. He closed with the most intense version of Whippin’ Post ever. I basically stopped listening this anything except Zappa and The Who for about 2 years after that gig.

I’m pretty sure I saw that tour. Whipping Post is my favorite AB tune but that version will never be equaled IMO.
