Cortez had nothing on the Aztecs. Those pyramids ran with blood of the people whose hearts they cut out while alive.
If I remember correctly, the Aztec elite turned to cannibalism when the food crops wore out.
Even at that Pizarro was the REAL humdinger. No one up here in N America talks about just how many people Pizarro killed.
