If I was going to get a new rifle for Southern MI deer it would be chambered for the 350 Legend. Flat shooting out to 200 yds and little felt recoil.

Nope, state wide.
Most of the rifles used up north aren’t legal for zone 3, but any rifle legal in zone 3 is legal everywhere in the state.

You can use the 450 bushmaster for deer in zone 3. That is a pretty stout load that kicks like wounded mule.
I'm tooled up for .458 diameter bullets and have a boat-load of them in various weights and makes. Wish I had time to wildcat a '1.8inch x .458 Michigan'
The 450 Bushmaster is .452-.454 so it uses pistol weight bullets. Probably not an issue with deer, I'm sure it's effective.

Yeah, I saw the article on that. Looked pretty interesting.

Yes, Ill add you to the Morning Kitteh list. It is different from Slings-and-Arrowss. Thank you! :-)
> Yeah, I forgot how to use Photobucket. I wonder if my husband can get my stored pictures off there. I lost almost everything in a hard-drive crash a few years ago, so it would be nice to at least have those.
Here's how to do it, assuming you still have your login username/password to your PB account (or use the "Forgot my password" process).
- You have to disable your ad blocker if you use one, for photobucket.com.
- Ignore or just close their "You are over your limit...blah...blah..." popups, and click the "LOGIN" at the upper right corner. Eventually you will get to your library of pics, as thumbnails (smaller versions).
- To download a pic, click on its thumbnail in the library, so that it becomes the only pic on the page. You should see a gray select bar with five or so things on it, e.g. star, pencil, magnifier,... and gear.
- Click the gear. You'll get a drop-down menu with "Download" on it.
- Click "Download". You'll get a dialog box that lets you save the pic on your computer.
So the Good News is that you can download copies of all your pics. The Bad News is that it's a time-consuming manual process. But at least it's possible to get the pics.
Good luck!

Thanks! If I can’t make it work, maybe my sons can. They’re all beebery and technologies and stuff. I’ll pay one of them a piecework rate to do the downloads, and then they can all walk to Walmart and buy junk food.

I'm very well aware of that, you obviously missed my point.
The caliber rifle you mentioned is only allowed in Zone 3 in the "Limited Firearm Zones". Zones 1 and 2 they are perfectly legal along with all other rifle calibers........Are we on the same page now?

What are they climbing for? ‘Possums have scent trails they’re really comfortable on, and will move very quickly on them. A bit more tentative when off them.

Safe resting spot, I guess. Maybe it’s situational: you don’t need to climb in the real woods, but you do in the middle of an apartment complex.

Maybe they’re hunting something. I had one as a pet, long ago. A bit goofy.

I never really thought about what they eat other than cat food.

Nope, you’re on the wrong page.
ANY rifle legal in the “Limited Firearm Zone” is legal in the whole state. Zone 3 rifles are legal everywhere.
44 mag, 357 mag, 45 colt, 350 legend, 450 bushmaster, and a dozen or so other rifles are legal in zone 3, and they are legal everywhere else in the state.
There are NO rifles that are legal in zone that aren’t legal everywhere.

I'm on the right page, it just came out wrong.
The only rifle allowed in zone 3 is the one you mentioned.......all rifles allowed in 1 and 2, just as you said
