That report is from last month, includes every state in Australia. The headline is somewhat misleading...

“About 85 per cent are related to human activity, 13 per cent confirmed arson and 37 per cent suspected arson,” he said. “The remainder are usually due to reckless fire lighting or even just children playing with fire.”

...because it includes everyone cautioned for, for example, throwing a cigarette out of a car window (yes, there are idiots who still do that) and children lighting grass fires that are quickly extinguished. What surprises me is that in search of a headline, that site didn't mention that ISIS had been telling its followers, before Christmas, to light fires in Australia. Now I'll have to find the source for that...but while I do, here's the updated list of fires and warnings for the entire State, it shows that the Queensland volunteers are heading towards NSW in the South to help with the fires there...
