Don't you know, as a patron of the hotel, not to park your car in their parking lot?
How criminally negligent can you be? You're enticing criminals to commit crimes.
I'm surprised they even allowed you to drive a car. After all, criminals need something to vandalize or strip to keep them in business.
Of course, I'm being sarcastic but it reminds me of my bicycles being repeatedly stolen in college. When I was in college, I rode my bike to classes. I couldn't afford a car. Not really expensive bikes but the small tire ten-speed models popular back in the 60s. I lost 3 of them in 7 months. As a broke college kid, I couldn't keep buying new bicycles. I reported the thefts to the police but nothing ever happened. But one cop did give me an idea that eventually worked though. He said the ten speed bikes were too popular not to steal. He said hundreds were stolen on campus every month.
So I came up with a plan. I needed bike was less popular. I bought a used one speed, balloon tire bike with riser handle bars. I put tassels on the ends of the hand grips and spray painted the entire bike white. Everything. The chrome, the metal, the seat, even the rubber tires. It stood out like a sore thumb. And boy was it ugly. Not the kind of bike anybody would want to steal. Or even be seen riding.
I rode that bike for the three years I had left in school and no one ever bothered it. I didn't even lock it. Who's going to steal a bike that's ugly and stands out like a sore thumb? No one. But I didn't care. I just didn't want to have to be replacing the popular ten speeds I'd had before.
And that's a true story. 🤪
” spray painted the entire bike white. Everything. The chrome, the metal, the seat, even the rubber tires.”
Yep, well done. It works indeed. This is how I stopped fellow mechanics from stealing or claiming my tools. I painted everything, and I mean everything, polished Snapon and all including my tool boxes white. There was no mistaking who they belonged to after that and no one would even get caught borrowing them they were so ugly.
Funny how humans are more hung up on preferring aesthetics over common sense practicality.
