A man who tested positive for the coronavirus told Fox News on Saturday that people should stop freaking out about the outbreak.
"I'm not the one to advise the experts on this, but I personally believe that it's not the scary thing that everyone thinks it is," Mark Jorgenson told "Your World."
Jorgenson and his wife were evacuated from the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan. Authorities quarantined the ship after a man who exited in Hong Kong had tested positive. According to Jorgenson, his wife initially tested positive and stayed in Japan while he didn't get a positive result until he was back in the United States.
Speaking from his hospital bed in California, Jorgenson said he was fine.
"I'm not symptomatic, my wife tested positive without symptoms and now is clear of it. So I would say maybe we can step back and breathe a little bit and not freak out," he told Fox News host Neil Cavuto.
Jorgenson continued testing positive and needed to obtain two consecutive negative results in order to be released. As he was speaking with Cavuto, he said his wife had just received her second negative result and would be returning home.
Over 700 other passengers and crew who were on the ship were infected with COVID-19, which had for several weeks marked the largest instance of communal spread.
A British man who was sickened by the coronavirus while aboard the cruise ship has died, reports citing the Japanese health ministry said.
The man, who had been in quarantine in Japan after testing positive for the virus, marks the first foreign passenger on the ship to die, according to Kyodo News. It would also mark the first fatality involving a British citizen, according to Sky News.

Young guy 40’s?
6 dead, and 36 still serious/critical from that cruise.
Glad he is doing fine.
And in the same time frame how many died from the Flu?
I know, never let a good crisis go to waste
Right?
A funny this happened on the way to documenting Coronavirus information over
the last 48 hours.
14 new nations popped up with 1 case. If you go out to 72 hours you can pick
up about five more.
All of a sudden, it’s as if someone is beating the bushes to bump up the numbers
of nations with this virus.
Over a month into this, and these 14-19 nations all found their first case in
a 48 to 72 hour window.
That looks odd to me.
0 from the cruise
So what he is saying is: Don’t Fear The Reaper?
I have heard the same thing from people who survived all kinds of possibly fatal experiences - horrific crashes, fierce close quarters gun fights, air combat in the second world war, terrorist bombings, and serious illnesses.
We read about a Freeper who decided to climb onto the back of a bear attacking his dog to slit the bear's throat a few years ago. He probably thought that wasn't too scary either after it was all over.
How about across the US where annual deaths from typical flu is in the thousands?
Note that no one talks about this, just breathlessly going on about the newest one
Because it’s 20 times deadlier that the flu and there is a chance to stop it or slow it down.
Coronavirus is one form of the common cold but it does have some differences, however, it is still the same class of virus. It won’t be radically different. People usually do not die from the common cold but from secondary infections such as pneumonia.
“Because its 20 times deadlier that the flu and there is a chance to stop it or slow it down.”
No, it is not. You need to stop believing everything you read on the Internet.
THANK YOU for posting this all of this hysteria is getting to be ridiculous!!!
I watch Carls interview he was surprised at all the brew haha Carl had a great sense of humor we need to get Carl out n the air waves f course the MSM would want NO PART of Carl and his TRUTH!!!
The flu kills 0.1%.
The US at last report had 68 cases of Coronavirus and 1 death from it. That’s a 1.5% rate. And only 7 of the 68 have recovered, so we might have more deaths in that group. Hope not.
Do the math 1.5%/.01% = 15 times more likely. But that’s a better experience than most other nations with more than few cases have seen.
How are we suppose to keep the panic alive with guys like this?
How are we suppose to derail the economy with guys like this?
How Covid-19 kills the patient. What’s really weird is how some people can have, carry, and spread the virus but never feel any serious symptoms. Then there’s the re-occurrance factor not normally seen in virus infections.

We haven’t even talked about the possibility of mutation yet.
I just viewed a video with ta man who has been diagnosed with it and he seemed quite lucid
It is not sweeping through the country, not even close to the Flu strain that The US had early last century
I was out and about today in an area highly populated by older/retired folks
Have yet to see a mask on any of them and none of them are hunkered down, social activity meter is normal and cars all over...
Just another day
What do they know that others do not??
Wisdom comes with Age, and following the latest fads and fancies is for others
In the aggregate this has absolutely none of the “pandemic” wildfire nature to it, no matter how hard the Media fans the flames and many breathlessly follow it
Make your choice, I have
Nice sunny day, sittin outside and not worrying or cryin
