They have fitted masks and know not to pick their nose.

Ah, geez. You mean not to pick one's own nose?

I've been doing it all wrong.

“Why do we see every healthy healthcare worker wearing a mask?”

The PPE medical professionals wear is always as much to protect you from them as them from you. Think about pre-op procedures. They’re not doing that to protect themselves.

The vast majority of healthcare workers don’t routinely wear masks of any kind under ordinary circumstances (nonsurgical...such as floor nurses in a hospital), so it’s obvious they’re wearing them specifically because of the virus. If they’re not infected, they’re not protecting patients from the virus.

Why do we see every healthy healthcare worker wearing a mask?

All of us are carrying various viruses and bacteria at any given moment. If you were a health professional treating an immuno-compromised patient, you wouldn't want to be breathing your micro-ecosystem into the patients face or anywhere else.

“I have been drinking Corona beer. I heard it has antibiotic properties.”

YOU FOOL! Didn’t you know that Coronavirus FEEDS off of Corona beer? Why do you think they call it CORONA beer?

“Anyone know how much vitimin C should be taken to boost immune system? I know the body can only handle so much, but how much is recommended if possible?”

it’s extremely variable from person to person: you’ll know your limit when you get the runs ...

more than that, and you’d need to do a Vitamin C IV:

“From what I understand, the N95 only protects against substances of 3 microns or more. The Coronavirues is 1 micron...”

the masks filter the water droplets that carry the virus; viruses don’t float around just by themselves ... more importantly, ordinary, non-fitted masks are mainly worn by those who have a cough to prevent spewing virus-laden water drops in the air; unless fitted tightly, unfiltered air is pulled in around the edges, so such masks (even N95) don’t offer a lot of protection from infection ...

You could call it a pandemic of alarmist Coronavirus fake news and it continues to spread.

For ingesting higher doses without a Montezuma outcome, check into liposomal Vit C. You can also get a Dr to give high doses intravenously if you can find one to do it.

Have you tried huffing oregano oil when you first notice symptoms? I’ve found it to be very effective.

Agreed. Been taking it (and others) for ~15 years. Generally, fewer issues (particularly infectious diseases) than most my age.

It really works. I've only been taking it on a daily basis for 5 years or so. I told an acquaintance about it who said he gets sick all time calling himself a "bubble boy". Saw him a month or two later and he said he's felt great since he started taking it daily. Two years later; same thing so it does work. One 1000mg a day. I was taking 2000mg a day but adjusted it down to 1000mg about a year ago. Still works good but ironically I currently have a stubborn head cold that's going around.

Exactly...same reason surgeons wear masks when operating - to keep from infecting the patient.

I am sorry, but that is so bogus. Whoever claimed that medical masks “alone” protect against it?

One can quibble about their efficacy, but when you see those crowds of people in close contact, it is reasonable to assume even a basic mask could provide some protection. You don’t want sneeze droplets from someone who’s infected dropping into your open mouth.

The colloidal silver statement is inaccurate as written as well.

Sure, ingesting it is controversial and research backing it may be spotty or nonexistent (I’m not about to ingest it!), but it is regularly used topically and on sensitive medical equipment as an antibiotic and for its efficacy against viruses.

So in the right context, it likely could help against the coronavirus.

“If you were a health professional treating an immuno-compromised patient, you wouldn’t want to be breathing your micro-ecosystem into the patients face or anywhere else.”

Doctors and nurses encounter immuno-compromised patients virtually every day and they do not routinely wear face masks.

PS I think the REAL “missing link” in the discussion is that (assuming it’s accurate - I haven’t checked) as another commenter advised me, the CDC’s actual guidelines say that properly-fitted face masks DO provide a measure of protection FOR THE WEARER. This was conveniently omitted from the article that started this thread as it would have contradicted the position that masks don’t provide any protection, so there’s no need to buy them.
