Rusty, we have mini donkeys. We were told mini horses have a lot of health issues, mini donkeys not so much. I am guessing from being down-sized so much. About a third of horse size and weight. Mini donkeys are not reduced as much. My little guys are so loving - gelded males. They really love when little kids visit. They see “eye to eye” with them. Hugs are required always. One really likes butt rubs (backside) and he will back into me so he can get them. And brushing will cause battles on who can get closest. They don’t take turns, just butt each other out of way. Sometimes I think they will squash me for attention needs. Luckily I also have a thousand pound mule who is a huge mama baby. He shuttles them out of the way. Love my donkeys!! If I knew how to post pics, I would.

Aw, I had a mini donkey a long time ago. A female I named Jenny. Original I know. I had a horse, her, and several goats. When they thought it was feeding time, they would all face the house. Jenny would stand in front as their designated spokesperson, an do the funniest hee haw you ever saw.
